IMMIGRATION, A MORAL ISSUE

2nd & 4th Wednesdays 6:45-8:15

6 Sessions beginning Jan. 25

The main part of the class time will be guest speakers to give us a local perspective regarding immigration in the Des Moines area.

A NEW FREEDOM: AN INTRODUCTION TO CENTERING PRAYER

Date and Time:  Saturday, March 10, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Place: Plymouth United Church of Christ, 42nd and Grand in Des Moines

This introductory workshop teaches the method of Centering Prayer in easy-to-understand terms and practical experience.  While this workshop is designed specifically for people in 12-step programs, it is open to all and teaches the same method of centering prayer that has been introduced throughout the world by Contemplative Outreach.

 

UNITED IN PRAYER DAY

Begun in 1992, United in Prayer Day is an opportunity for the worldwide Contemplative Outreach community to join in silent prayer and enrichment.  The day will feature two periods of Centering Prayer, a special video supplied by Contemplative Outreach, and rich discussion.
