Speaker: Rekha Basu
Des Moines Register columnist Rekha Basu discusses negotiating life, love and hate mail while living out loud and trying to make social change over 26 years as a journalist. Rekha Basu has been writing for The Register since 1991, first as an editorial writer and then as a columnist. She writes about anything from Iowans’ name changes to U.S. aid policy abroad, but has a particular interest in human rights, civil liberties and hidden cultural messages.
